In keeping with our tiny terrors theme, we now expend to include pint-sized perpetrators! These are villains who don’t have the benefit of numbers but still prove that killer things can come in small packages.
- It’s Alive (1974) – As the trailer said: “There’s only thing wrong with the Davis baby – it’s alive.” A movie about a hideously deformed monster baby that becomes extremely violent when it’s scared, and it scares easily.
- Basket Case (1981) – Campy, cheezie, charming! If the proverb: “Curiosity killed the cat” was a movie, this would be it.
- Child’s Play (1988) – The classic horror movie that made people afraid to be alone with their toys. There is no tiny terror or pint-sized perpetrator discussion without Chucky!
- Leprechaun (1993) – In much the same way that all the movies in the Tiny Terror marathon were campy, the pint-sized perps seem to elicit the same sentiments. Small things trying to kill you is absurd. But if you go in with that expectation, you will enjoy it more.
- Annabelle (2014) – Of all the movies on this list, Annabelle tries the hardest to take itself seriously, which, I think, hurts it, but I understand given the universe it is trying to be a part of. If nothing else, it’s a nice change of pace and tone from the others.
